New Stuff on the TNPC Web Site

by T. J. Lee

If you've not stopped by the TNPC Web site lately you really should as we've made several changes worthy of note:

http://www.TheNakedPC.com
First, you'll now find a TNPC Articles Listing where we break out the articles from past issues and present them as individual and searchable HTML pages. This lets you find an article of interest without having to slog through all the text in each back issue of the newsletter. You'll also find we've cross-linked various articles making it easy to read all the articles that appeared as part of an ongoing series. So far we have all the Volume 2 issue articles listed, but if this proves popular we'll start adding Volume 1 articles.

You'll also see that the featured articles in each current issue displayed on the main page are now linked to their individual article pages. Check them out!

Next, there's a new Letters to the Editor page where TNPCers can rant about what bugs them or praise the things that actually "go right" in their personal quests to best the computer. Use the link on the Letters page to send your own letters to the editor.

If you're an advertiser in TNPC you'll be glad to know we are now accepting credit card transactions for ads placed in TNPC. We've also added a "secondary" sponsor ad type so there are now three types of ads available on TNPC. The 10 line sponsor ad ($99), the 6 line secondary ad ($50), and the 3 line classified ad ($30).

While you're at the TNPC Web site be sure to jump over to the crew page:

Here you'll see pictures of most of the staff that puts TNPC together for you as well as some biographical information on them. Sigh, we're still waiting for Dan to get his picture sent in. You'd never know he's got this new digital camera. Must be camera shy.

If you have a Web site, drop by the Naked Horde page and get your site linked to TNPC and get your site mentioned in a future issue of the newsletter.

Finally, on the Recommended Books page you'll find all the books that we've recommended in past issues of TNPC as well as an Amazon search form. We'd appreciate you using this form when you go looking for those summertime bestsellers so we can pocket the small kickback we get from Amazon. Every little bit helps defray the costs involved with cranking out a free newsletter every two weeks.
